The National Drug Regulation Authority (NDRA) seized an illegally operated medicine warehouse during a raid in the Modara area in Colombo 15.
According to Lankadeepa, the NDRA’s Food and Pharmaceutical Authority had seized a stock of medicines and raw materials used to produce the drugs which were stored at the house of the owner of the warehouse.
The NDRA stated that the illegal warehouse had been used to produce medicines prescribed as painkillers and had been produced under the names of Indian medicines.
The raid had been conducted by a team comprising of senior officials of the NDRA and its Food and Pharmaceutical Authority. (NewsWire)
