Rupee slightly depreciates against USD at banks

The Sri Lankan Rupee has slightly depreciated against the US Dollar at commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (May 19). 

According to Peoples Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has increased from Rs. 296.59 to Rs. 298.29, while the selling rate has also increased from Rs. 313.52 to Rs. 315.32.

At Commercial Bank, both the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar have increased from Rs. 296.92 to Rs. 299.66 and from Rs. 310 to Rs. 312, respectively. 

Sampath Bank states the buying rate of the US Dollar has increased from Rs. 300 to Rs. 301, while the selling rate has increased from Rs. 312 to Rs. 313. (NewsWire)
