The Sri Lankan Rupee has significantly appreciated against the US Dollar at commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (May 26).
The Dollar rate, which was Rs. 298 on Monday (22) has significantly dropped today, reaching Rs. 292.
According to Peoples Bank, today’s buying rate of the US Dollar has reduced from Rs. 295.85 to Rs. 292.93, while the selling rate has also reduced from Rs. 311.76 to Rs. 308.68.
At Commercial Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar have reduced from Rs. 296.20 to 292.74 and from 308.50 to Rs. 305, respectively.
In comparison to yesterday (25), Sampath Bank reports the buying rate of the US Dollar has also reduced from Rs. 299 to Rs. 295, while the selling rate reduced from Rs. 311 to Rs. 307. (NewsWire)
