Two suspects who were arrested for sexually abusing a 6-year-old school schoolboy have been remanded until the 6th June by the Minuwangoda Magistrate.
The Court also ordered the Negombo Prison superintendent to submit the two suspects to the STI and Psychiatric Clinics of the Negombo General Hospital and submit the medical reports to the court.
It was revealed in the court that the victim boy’s mother had abandoned the child and his father was a serious drug addict.
The child, who is under the care of the grandmother has been allegedly sexually abused by two of his father’s friends, who are also drug addicts.
It has been revealed in the police investigations that the two suspects had drugged the child and abused him at his home.
The child is being treated in the Negombo General Hospital while Divulapitiya Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident. (NewsWire)
