Sri Lanka-born award-winning celebrity baker Tharshan Selvarajah is among the torchbearers for the 2024 Summer Olympics to be held in Paris, France.
According to the Sri Lankan Embassy in France, Tharshan Selvarajah today carried the Olympic Torch for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Sharing a video on ‘X’, the Embassy added that French-Sri Lankans lined the streets of Paris to cheer Tharshan Selvarajah as he carried the Olympic torch.
Tharshan Selvarajah became a celebrity baker in May 2023, after fifteen baguette connoisseurs selected his version of the iconic French bread as the best among 175 anonymous contenders. (Newswire)
