Fishy Business: Lorry full of Ganja, Not Tuna!

Two suspects have been arrested while transporting a large consignment of Kerala cannabis valued at over Rs. 50 million in a lorry.

The arrest was made by the police in the Lellama area of Pitipana, Negombo.

According to police, the suspects are residents of the Mannar area and had attempted to smuggle the cannabis under the guise of transporting fish.

The authorities recovered 200 kilograms of Kerala cannabis concealed within the lorry.

Police stated that the street value of the seized drugs exceeds Rs. 55 million.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Dungalpitiya Police. (Newswire)
