Two Police Constables who had taken a bribe of Rs. 5000 from a foreign tourist have been suspended from service.
The two Police officers were Constables attached to the Midigama Police Station in the South.
The Police Constables were reported to have taken the bribe while on patrol duty on 31 December 2024.
The SSP in charge of the Matara Division took steps to suspend them from duty on Monday (Jan 13). (Newswire)
