The public has been advised to view the results of the 2024 Presidential Election in private, with the Police stating that public screenings have been prohibited.
Addressing a special media briefing today, Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa announced that public screenings of election results have been banned.
He further said that the measure has been taken in order to prevent violence, such as brawls, during public screenings.
DIG Thalduwa advised the public to watch the results of the Presidential Election in private at their homes. (Newswire)
