Opposition MP Harsha de Silva has slammed the debt-related policies of the National Peoples’ Power (NPP) led by MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Taking to ‘X’, MP de Silva pointed out that the future Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) or NPP government has revealed it will not honour Sri Lanka’s USD 12 billion International Sovereign Bond (ISB) debt.
“First insinuated by their chief economic adviser Prof Anil Jayasekera of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, it is now being repeated clearly by their top economist Sunil Handunhetti,” he pointed out.
MP Harsha de Silva pointed out that this shows that the NPP has absolutely no idea how to govern a country. (NewsWire)
