Twenty-two (22) Army soldiers have been injured in an accident involving a bus reported near the Manamala Junction on the Nittambuwa- Kirindiwela Road today.
According to the Police, the bus transporting the soldiers from Nittambuwa to Kirindiwela had crashed into a lorry travelling in the opposite direction.
The 22 Army soldiers, including the bus driver, who were in the bus, had sustained injuries and had been admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital.
Twenty (20) of the soldiers have been discharged from the hospital, while one soldier and the driver of the bus are continuing to receive treatment. (Newswire)
