A 35-year-old man has died in a shooting incident reported in the Grandpass area this evening.
The Police said the victim had been shot by unidentified gunmen while travelling in the backseat of a three-wheeler near the Madampitiya cemetery.
The victim, a resident of Mihijaya Sevana, had sustained serious injuries in the shooting and died upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects had arrived in a car and had used a pistol to carry out the shooting.
The Grandpass Police have launched investigations to apprehend the suspects involved in the incident. (Newswire)
