Three persons, including an infant, were killed and three others sustained injuries in a collision between a three-wheeler and a lorry in Wewaldeniya along the Colombo-Kandy main road today.
The Police said the three-wheeler travelling from Colombo to Kandy had crashed into a parked lorry this afternoon.
A man, three women, and two male children travelling in the three-wheeler had sustained serious injuries following the collision and had been admitted to the Warakapola Hospital.
However, the 60-year-old man, a 64-year-old woman, and a 04-month-old infant had died after being admitted to the hospital.
While one injured woman is receiving treatment at the Warakapola Hospital, another injured woman and the other injured 05-year-old child have been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment. (Newswire)
