Paramedic practitioners will engage in a token strike at state hospitals in Sri Lanka today, the Joint Council for Professionals of Supplementary Medicine (JCPSM) said.
JCPSM President Ravi Kumudesh stated that a token strike is being carried out over seven key demands.
He further stated that the token strike will be staged for 24 hours starting at 08.00 a.m. today.
“The key motive of the strike is to object to conspirators within the Health Ministry. Maternity, Cancer, Kidney and Children’s hospitals and the Institute of Mental Health will not participate in the strike action,” he added. (NewsWire)
