The marketing and investment framework agreement between Sri Lanka and Australia has been extended for another five (05) years with effect from today (Oct 10).
According to the government, Australia is one of the important direct overseas investment stakeholders of Sri Lanka while being the fifth source of tourist destinations.
A marketing and investment framework agreement was signed between Sri Lanka and Australia in November 2017 with the vision of promoting bilateral marketing and investment between the two countries.
The Cabinet has agreed to the proposal submitted by the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security to extend the said agreement for another five (05) years from today.
The extension has been provided so that the marketing and investment cooperation can be continued uninterrupted as per the agreement. (NewsWire)
