The government has identified a location in the vicinity of the Colombo Central and North areas for the establishment of a new national school, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry said.
In a message on ‘X’, Minister Sabry said the site was selected after months of discussions with relevant stakeholders.
He further revealed that the selected site was around 4 acres of land in the Applewatte area in Maligawatta.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that the government was committed to enhancing educational infrastructure for ‘our children’s brighter future’.
He expressed the views after visiting the Colombo Central and Colombo North areas along with President’s Chief of Staff Sagala Ratnayake, and officials from the Education Ministry and Urban Development Authority (UDA) today. (Newswire)
