Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most provinces of Sri Lanka after 1.00 p.m. today, the Department of Meteorology said.
Fairly heavy showers above 75mm are likely at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and Uva provinces and the Galle and Kurunegala districts.
Several spells of showers may occur in the Eastern Province during the morning too.
Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Pottuvil to Kankasanthurai via Batticaloa and Trincomalee.

Winds will be south-westerly to south-easterly and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph in the sea areas around the island.
