Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Kandy District MP Velu Kumar pledged support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara said MP Velu Kumar met President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the latter’s office on Flower Road, Colombo this morning.
According to Nanayakakara, MP Velu Kumar had met the President briefly before he was to depart to hand over his nomination to contest the Presidential Polls.
MP Velu Kumar representing the estate sector contested the 2015 general election and was elected to the Parliament for the first time. He entered the Parliament through the Samagi Jana Balawegaya after contesting the general election in 2019. (Newswire)
