Eight Sri Lankan Paralympians qualify for 2024 Paralympic Games

Eight (08) Sri Lankan Paralympians who have qualified for the 2024 Paralympic Games will depart for France this week (Aug 25).

According to the National Paralympic Committee, Sri Lanka’s Paralympic Team is led by Samitha Dulan (Javelin).

Nuwan Indika (100m), Palitha Bandara (Shot Put), Anil Jayalath (100m), Pradeep Somasiri (1500m), Suresh Dharmasena (Wheelchair Tennis), Naveed Rasheed (Swimming), and Janani Dhananjana (Long Jump) are the other athletes representing Sri Lanka. 

The 2024 Paralympic Games will take place in France from 28 August to 08 September and will feature over 4,400 athletes from 189 countries competing in 22 different sports. (Newswire)
