Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his first meeting with Kuwait’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, on the sidelines of the 79th UNGA session in New York, according to India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modiemphasized India’s deep commitment to its bilateral relations with Kuwait. Both leaders reflected on the strong historical ties and close people-to-people connections between the nations.
They expressed satisfaction with their cooperation on energy and food security and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen and diversify their partnership.
The Indian PM also thanked the Kuwait Crown Prince for ensuring the well-being of the Indian community in Kuwait, the largest diaspora group in the country.
The meeting between the two leaders is expected to inject fresh momentum into India-Kuwait relations.
The discussions with His Highness Sheikh Sabah KhaledAl-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah were highly productive, focusing on boosting cooperation in key areas such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, technology, energy, and more. (Kuwait Times)
