Police officials have been instructed to inspect any person found to be wearing a helmet without a motorcycle and behaving suspiciously.
In such instances, the Police officials have been ordered to inspect the individual and his belongings.
The directive has been issued by the Police Headquarters due to the rise in crimes by persons wearing helmets.
The Police said several crimes, including shootings and murders, have been found to be carried out by persons wearing helmets.
The Police pointed out that helmets are to be worn only by motorcyclists and pillion riders for safety. (Newswire)
