A judge of the Quazi Court in Gelioya has been arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 200,000.
It is reported that the Quazi Court judge had been arrested by Bribery Commission officials while at his office this morning.
The arrest has been made based on a complaint filed by a businessman in Kandy.
The Quazi Court judge had solicited the bribe to expedite the verdict in the divorce case related to the businessman’s son. (Newswire)
