Sri Lankan all-rounder Dunith Wellalage has reportedly signed with the Barbados Royals for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season. Wellalage, known for his impressive performances on the international stage, will be playing under the guidance of cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara, who serves as the head of the Barbados Royals.
The Barbados Royals franchise is owned by the IPL team Rajasthan Royals, adding to the young all-rounder’s exposure to top-level cricket. The CPL 2024 season is set to kick off on August 30, and Wellalage’s addition to the squad is expected to strengthen the Royals’ campaign. (Newswire)
