International Red Notices have been issued to 43 members of criminal gangs operating in Sri Lanka, according to the Police.
Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said that measures are being taken to obtain Red Notices against other identified and wanted criminals as well.
He further said that the wanted criminals who had sought refuge in Dubai, UAE are said to have now fled to other countries.
DIG Thalduwa said that following the issuance of red notices, wanted criminals who had fled to Dubai were found to have created new passports under fake identities and fled to other countries.
The Police Spokesman revealed the details during a media briefing in Colombo. (NewsWire)
