Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the second son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Beliatta.
According to the Police Spokesperson, the arrest was made on the advice of the Attorney General, citing evidence of wrongdoing under the Money Laundering Act.
The arrest follows a recent CID investigation into a disputed land in Kataragama. Further details of the case are yet to be disclosed. (NewsWire)
