Former Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe has announced his decision to retire from politics, stating that he will not contest any future elections.
He made this statement while responding to questions from journalists about his political future after visiting the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
When asked whether there was a possibility of returning to Parliament, Dr. Rajapakshe firmly rejected the idea.
He said that he has no desire to be a part of the narrative where it was noted that all 225 members of Parliament are corrupt. (Newswire)
