Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara said that an official statement regarding the Presidential polls will be made next month by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The Minister noted that President Wickremesinghe himself will clarify if he will be contesting the election, emphasizing that the Presidential polls will be held first.
Nanayakkara also accused Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) of spreading misinformation about the President’s candidacy, adding that SJB members seem to feel threatened. (Newswire)
