A young man who videotaped a defender vehicle involved in an accident near Wariyapola has been arrested by police, reportedly for obstructing police duties.
The defender SUV, allegedly belonging to former minister Lohan Ratwatte, was in an accident on the Anuradhapura-Padeniya road on Saturday (26), causing significant damage to a bus halt and the vehicle.
A video circulating on social media shows a police officer, identifying himself as the OIC of the Wariyapola Police Traffic Division, threatening the young man recording the scene. (NewsWire)
