An 11-year-old girl was reported dead after being struck by lightning in the Govipala area in Passara yesterday.
The Police said the child along with her father and brother had been working in the backyard when she was struck by lightning.
The child’s brother who had also been struck by lightning has been admitted to the Badulla Hospital, while the father had escaped unhurt in the incident.
