Leader of the Tamil United Freedom Front (TUFF), former MP Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias ‘Karuna Amman’, has extended his support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the next Presidential Election.
Karuna Amman announced his decision by participating in the opening of the United National Party’s (UNP) new office in Panadura on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Karuna Amman said President Ranil Wickremesinghe must be appreciated, as he had rebuilt Sri Lanka.
“Everybody knows the history. The former president spoilt all the sectors, including businesses and people’s livelihoods,” he said.
Former MP Karuna Amman pointed out that the nation’s state was improving after President Ranil Wickremesinghe assumed power.
“Next chance also should be given to him. That is why I am also supporting him. Especially, people of the North and East are going to vote for him, without a doubt. All the people are ready to support the President,” he added. (Newswire)
